GLOBAL – New from Nokia Beta Labs, Nokia 3D World Gaze gives you a
new perspective on the world, in 3D. With this app, you can learn about
different cities or countries on the planet just by pointing your phone in its
general direction, using GPS and the built-in compass. The information is piped
in from services, such as: panoramio.com; wikinews.org; wikipedia.org; and geonames.org
right to your screen on a 3D representation of this lovely planet. Bearing in
mind that this app retrieves data from online sources, you’ll also need a cheap
data connection of some type to use Nokia 3D World Gaze.
Even pointing your phone directly downwards, will show you what’s on the
other side of the world.
As Nokia 3D World Gaze is currently in beta phase, your input is really
important to making this an amazing app. Head on over to Nokia Beta Labs and
download Nokia 3D World Gaze, and leave some feedback on the app at their site.
This app is available for the Nokia N8, Nokia C6-01, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia
E6 and the Nokia X7.
