Safari Unibar; simply put, is a jailbreak tweak that mimics the Google
landing page. A free download from Cydia, Safari Unibar has one input area that combines
the address and search bars together similarly to Google Chrome. This app
allows for a cleaner interface, without any loss in functionality.
Behind Mail, Mobile Safari is
probably one of the most used apps on the iPhone. It’s one of the joys of the
iOS universe – a lightweight mobile browser that actually behaves like a
proper, fully-fledged (bar Flash, obviously) desktop browser. The tweak,
available to download and install for free from Cydia, goes by the rather
obvious name of Safari UniBar.
Once installed, the search bar is
removed from Mobile Safari, and the address bar takes over its duties. Safari
UniBar requires no addition setup, and the tweak will add no new icons to your
iPhone’s homescreen, making for a nice, clean and unobtrusive jailbreak tweak.
